Young-hwa Lee, Senior Manager: I am Young-hwa Lee, Senior Manager of IT Operations Team 2 in the Information Technology Department at HMM. I am responsible for introducing external operational solutions and providing support for system development.

Q. What was the reason for adopting the SeaVantage SVMP solution, and what were the main objectives?

At HMM, during vessel voyages, data was collected through agents or received via emails from terminal operators, and the required data was manually entered. This process resulted in delays of at least one or two days before somebody could enter the data into the system. Moreover, ensuring data quality and accuracy for a fleet of over 1,000 vessels was an ongoing challenge.

To adapt to the rapidly changing global market and provide accurate, real-time information to customers, we decided to implement the SeaVantage SVMP solution. The main objective of adopting SVMP was to quickly provide critical data—such as vessel departure (ATD), arrival (ATA), and berth times (ATB)—enabling both the operations team and customers to make timely decisions.
